Run Your Ice Off 5K proceeds go towards our youth development organization, Equity Initiative, Inc. which is a Monday to Thursday after-school program for middle school and high school-age youth in both Sedgwick and Sumner County.
Equity Initiative, Inc. is dedicated to preparing young people for the world and changing the course of their lives. Five ways we do this are: offering FREE groups and workshops on life skills development, encouraging social and emotional learning, providing entrepreneurial exposure, arranging Media Arts engagement, and supplying FREE tutoring to middle school and high school-age students!
Equity Initiative, Inc. has an exclusive location, The Activity Lounge (Address: 1608 E. Waterman St. 67211), which is a safe place for teenagers to hang, learn, and grow Monday to Thursday from 6:30pm-9:00pm. Equity Initiative, Inc. values EQUITY, it's in OUR name. We work hard daily to identify and remove barriers that prevent marginalized youth from reaching their full potential.
Equity Initiative, Inc.'s mission is to provide young people in marginalized communities with positive life skills, resources, and guidance in order to ensure the success of their future!

Saturday, January 6th 2024 8:00am - 10:00am!
Begins and ends at the Hyatt Regency Lawn (Address: 400 W. Waterman St. Wichita, KS, 67202)
Race route: Riverwalk Bike Path
This is an untimed 5K! Dogs on leashes are welcome to participate at no additional fee!
We welcome WALKERS! If you prefer to walk the 5K, please feel free to do so! This is a friendly event!

$40.00 Early Bird Special (Before December 25th)

Post-5K
Equity Initiative, Inc. will provide FREE coffee from Mokas Cafe, water, donuts, custom event T-Shirt, and a finisher's certificate after the 5K!
